Your Guide to Choosing a Home Cleaning Service

Your Guide to Choosing a Home Cleaning Service

Having your home professionally cleaned leaves you with a feeling quite unlike any other; your home is so clean you can smell it (or smell nothing, more to the point!), and yet you don’t feel exhausted, and you didn’t have to give up any of your free time to achieve it. Sound too good to be true? Nope – that’s just how it is when you hire a cleaning company!

But how can you be sure you’ve found the right company for you?

Here are a few things to keep in mind when contemplating having your home professionally cleaned, and trying to find a company to fulfil your needs:

  • Know what your cleaning needs are

Before beginning your search, think carefully about what your cleaning requirements actually are, such as whether you need frequent cleaning, or a one-off deep clean. Once you know what you need, the selection process will be easier.

  • Consider their reputation

Whichever cleaning company you choose, you’re going to want them to have a great reputation with their previous clients, and you can usually find out about this by reading client testimonials and reviews online.

  • Check their experience level

It’s always best to find a cleaning company with plenty of experience, that way you should be able to guarantee that they’re trained highly enough to respond professionally in all types of home-cleaning scenarios. Don’t be afraid to inquire about their qualifications and training during your search.

  • Look for transparent pricing

Nobody likes receiving a bill that comes with a whole host of costs you weren’t expecting. A good cleaning company that you can trust, will give you prices that are both transparent, and competitive.

  • Are they insured and bonded?

Sometimes accidents happen, no matter how trustworthy and professional a cleaning company may be. Provided that they’re fully bonded and insured, however, you should be able to rest at ease knowing that your belongings and property are protected at all times.

  • Do they offer great customer support?

How responsive and accessible they are when you’re communicating with them online or over the telephone, is often an indicator of just how professional and reliable a cleaning company really is. If you’re satisfied with their level of customer service, then they could be a good fit.

  • Seek personal references and check reviews

If other customers have given a cleaning company great reviews, (and those reviews can be verified), then that’s about as good an indicator of their professionalism as you can get. You should also ask around in your community or among your local friends, to see if anyone can recommend a cleaning company.

You may have many other questions before going ahead and hiring a cleaning company, and that’s perfectly understandable, after all, inviting someone into your personal space, is a big deal. However, a good cleaning company should be able to answer all of your questions, and if they can’t, or you’re not satisfied with their answers, then you might already have discovered that they’re not the cleaning company for you.
